"I strongly recommend Sue Minkel for a position as a Nursing Student tutor as well as NCLEX tutor. I first met Sue in a time offered. I began my nursing student experience at a nursing school that lacked enthusiasm in student success and rather than promoting extra learning opportunities as well as advice to pass exams they promoted self-teaching and criticized those that were not successful on exams. Their unspoken motto was eliminate the “weak” or those they felt were not appropriate for the nursing field. I began nursing school at the young age of 19. I was the youngest in my class and found myself in need of assistance with passing nursing exams. Sue Minkel was referred to me through a mutual friend. I was told that Sue had many years of nursing education experience as well as private tutoring availability for those that needed assistance in tackling critical thinking questions. I found that my time at my first nursing school was coming to an end. My drive to continue nursing was low due to lack of confidence in myself as well as feelings of inadequacy because of what my initial nursing instructors were telling me.
I withdrew from that program and under the advice of Sue I interviewed and successfully got into another nursing school. Sue assisted me during this experience with studying tips and one on one tutoring sessions through phone conversations and Facetime opportunities. Sue taught me how to break down nursing style questions to determine what was truly being asked in the question as well as taught me how to eliminate answers that were not relevant to the question being asked. In my second nursing school experience, I was voted in as class President and when graduation came around I graduated with high honors and successfully passed my NCLEX examination on my first try in a total of 75 questions.
